The goal of the project is to create a modern, high-tech and environmentally friendly production of sulfuric acid and oleum with a capacity of 40 thousand tons per year, to supply the industry of Ukraine.

United Sulfuric Acid Company (USAC) implements a project to create sulfuric acid and oleum production using advanced double-contacting – double-absorption technology proposed by KAPSOM (China). This technology makes it possible to produce sulfuric acid with a concentration of at least 92.5% and oleum with a concentration of at least 104.5%.
Investments in the project amount to 350 million hryvnias.
Advanced production technology complies with European environmental standards. The project uses equipment with optimal indicators for raw materials, energy efficiency and quality of the end products with a guarantee of minimum permissible emissions, effluents and waste. Construction of sulfuric acid production will ensure the stable operation of Ukrainian industry, increase tax payments to the budget and employment in the field of high-tech jobs. 100% of the end product will be directed to the Ukrainian market. Sulfuric acid is an inorganic substance used in the chemical and coke-chemical industries, metallurgy, power generation, and petrochemicals. It is one of the most important technical substances in the world.
It is used in large quantities for the production of mineral fertilizers and is widely used in industrial organic synthesis in the reactions of sulfation, hydration and dehydration, alkylation, etc. Sulfuric acid is used to produce mineral salts, artificial fibers, caprolactam, dyes and synthetic detergents. Sulfuric acid can serve as a desiccant and/or gas purifier. For example, in coke chemistry sulfuric acid is used to purify coke gas from ammonia. In addition, sulfuric acid of improved quality is used in the recovery of resins in water filters, as an electrolyte in batteries, in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and as a food additive (emulsifier).Project progress
